Alas, another PAX East has come and gone. One of the more unique games we got to muck around with is MindField’s upcoming game Pollen, which makes good use of the the Oculus Rift. Pollen is a first-person exploration game which upon playing, you immediately get a 2001: A Space Odyssey feel. The developers have kept the story incredibly hush-hush and to date have only talked about the exploration aspects of the game. Unfortunately PAX East was not an exception as the playable demo solely focused on the exploration / interaction aspects and only briefly alluded to the story by means of some funky stuff you can see on the walls towards the end of the demo.
