As you might have heard, Microsoft has stopped production on many of the projects under the Xbox Entertainment Studios umbrella, except for the live action Halo show. It was assumed that the XES project was dead, but that is only partially true. Reports have come in that Microsoft is looking to sell the division to another entity and Warner Brothers is listening.

A representative of Warner Brothers was quoted by The Hollywood Reporter that Warner Brothers is “constantly having preliminary discussions regarding business opportunities with numerous companies at any given time.”

While these talks are preliminary, there is no guarantee that this will materialize or lead to the sale of the division. Either way, it is certainly an interesting development.
