Today, Activision and Bungie announced that players who purchase a digital copy of Destiny for the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 will get a free upgrade to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions respectively. Simply log in with the same account where you purchased that last gen copy and you’ll automatically get the current gen equivalent as long as it is done on or before January 15, 2015. The promotion is only good within the same family of consoles (PS3 to PS4 or Xbox 360 to Xbox One) but all your stats, characters and overall progression will carry over.
