Nintendo has been pretty quiet about their upcoming online service, however, a report from the Nikki Asain Review shed some light on how much it will cost. The online service, that is required for online gaming, will cost between 2,000 and 3,000 yen which translates to roughly $17.60 to $26.50. Nintendo has never offered a paid subscription service before, but has released a helpful graphic to differentiate between a subscriber and a non-subscriber.

It’s also important to note that a free trial of the service will be running until the Fall of this year. So there will be time to see if the price justifies the content available.

Let us know what you think of the prices in the comments below. Too much; just right? The Nintendo Switch is a month away, so make sure to keep checking New Gamer Nation for all your updates on what Nintendo has planned for the upcoming launch.

If it really winds up being that $26.50 for the year, that’s actually really good. I hope it isn’t too good to be true.
