smithsonian art museum indie arcade2If you happen to be in the Washington, DC area this coming Sunday (December 7, 2014), make sure to swing by the Smithsonian American Art Museum for some gaming goodness. For one day both MAGFest and American University’s Game Lab are going to be setting up shop in the courtyard of the museum and turning into a full-fledged indie arcade.

While you can play games to your heart’s content, they will be also hosting workshops to teach you how to make your own games. The workshop schedule is as follows:

  • 2:00-3:00 p.m. Scratch
  • 3:15-4:15 p.m. Game Maker
  • 4:30-5:30 p.m. Unity

Whether you want to play some old school favorites, some new indies from the local chapters of the International Game Developers Association, or learn to make your own games, the Smithsonian Art Museum has you covered this Sunday.
