It is common place for PC players to patch their own games when they fail to meet expectations. This time is no different for Sega’s Aliens game. PC gamers got their hands on a woefully unfinished Aliens: Colonial Marines and fixed some of the lighting issues left out of the retail release. These fixes add DirectX 10 features to the game which add shadows, dynamic lighting and enhanced coloring to the game. It really does make a significant difference to the game.

It is too bad the PC gamers couldn’t fix the other issues in this game and make it the game Gearbox promised gamers.
