Today, A judge has dismissed the lawsuit Manuel Noriega brought against Call of Duty publisher Activision for using his likeness without permission.
In the suit, Noriega’s lawyers claimed that the game damaged his reputation and suffered because of the use. Meanwhile, Activision motioned to dismiss the case because it was “frivolous”. Ultimately, Judge William H. Fahey of the Los Angeles Superior Court ruled in favor of Activision. Fahey doubted that Noriega’s reputation suffered much from the game and dismissed the case.
