Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Ubisoft has just announced that they have acquired THQ Montreal. It was also announced that they acquired the publishing rights to South Park: The Stick of Truth. Lastly, there is a new IP which hasn’t been announced yet and was currently in development in the studio that Ubisoft will be getting their mitts on as well, making this quite an interesting turn of events. The THQ Montreal development teams will be joining Ubisoft’s dev teams, which is already the second-largest in-house development staff in the world, sporting 26 studios, in 19 countries, and more than 6,250 people all with the sole purpose of making video games that people have come to love over the years.
