The award-winning composer Normand Corbeil of Quantic Dream has died at the age of 56. ┬áCorbeil’s son, Laurent, mentioned that after a six month fight with pancreatic cancer, Normand lost the battle.

Corbeil started work on Indigo Prophecy, moved to Heavy Rain and was working on Beyond: Two Souls up until his passing. During that tenure, he won the top accolade of the 2011 British Academy Video Games Awards for Original Music. He was also nominated for an Emmy in 2003 and 2006 on works not associated with video games.
