Han Solo, Leia Oragana, and Emperor Palpatine will all be playable in the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront. These characters are known as heroes/villains and have the ability to change the dynamic of a battle on a dime. On top of the damage that they can put on some of these special characters play a support role.

Princess Leia has access to shields and buffs that make her great for hanging back and picking of foes from a far while supporting her team. Emperor Palpatine can electrify rebel scum with force lighting and close in on the opposition quickly despite his appearance. Each hero or villain will have unique abilities that will separate them from each other and give them the classic feel that Star Wars fans know and love.

Leia, Han, and Palpatine will be joining Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, and Boba Fett as special power ups that can be collected on the map in order to transform into one of these legendary personas. Check out the PlayStation Blog for all the details on these new combatants. It seems these characters will be available at launch with no connection to the recently announced season pass. Star Wars Battlefront will be available on November 17th, but until then keep it locked here at New Gamer Nation for all your gaming updates.
