While The Binding of Isaac did get a lot of success (2.4 million people bought own the game) there are still plenty that never got their hands on the game for the plain and simple fact that they are console gamers instead of PC gamers. Well all of that is about to change as The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is officially releasing early next year for PS4, PS Vita, and Steam.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is a remake of the original completely remade from scratch with expanded gameplay, playable characters, story, enemies, bosses and over 110 new items. Essentially its its a totally retooled and greatly expanded version of the game so many have come to love created in a NON-FLASH engine programmed/designed by Nicalis (Cave Story+, VVVVVV), Rebirth will also feature a totally new graphics overhaul rendered out in a semi 16-bit SNES style.
Some of the features include:
- Local Co-Op Play
- Competitive Load outs: Players can do the same run for Twitch streams, etc
- 50% new content over the original game
- Steam loyalty discount for players that already own the original
- 2+ playable characters
- Lots of new challenge runs
