Today, Gearbox Software has filed a lawsuit against both 3D Realms and Interceptor Entertainment over use of the Duke Nukem intellectual property. Gearbox is the current owner of the intellectual property after they purchased it on February 2, 2010 from 3D Realms. However, Gearbox recently learned about the development of Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction by Interceptor which is an RPG for PC and PS4. Gearbox is trying to prevent Mass Destruction from being released, as well as collect statutory damages, punitive damages and attorney’s fees.
