3D Realms has filed a suit against Gearbox Software over unpaid Duke Nukem Forever royalties. Apparently, Gearbox did not pay 3D Realms the royalties it promised back in 2010. 3D Realms also claims that Gearbox has blocked an independent audit of the royalties to see if there was a problem with the allotment. Gearbox has denied the accusations saying that all its commitments were fulfilled.
Amusingly enough, Gearbox said that the only partner to benefit from the game was 3D Realms because Gearbox says they took a hit to their reputation and monetary value.
