Nothing is safe from the selfie craze.  Not even Blizzard’s MMORPG World Of Warcraft, which has existed long before the word itself.  In the upcoming patch 6.1, players can earn themselves the S.E.L.F.I.E Camera, a cool little device that allows them to, naturally, take selfies.

Feeling like your Blood Elf is having a particularly good hair day?  Snap a selfie.  Want to celebrate the millionth bear you’ve killed?  You guessed it– take a selfie.

The camera is a reward from a level 100 garrison mission, according to WoW Insider.  A second mission, called Lens Some Hands, will offer up three filters for your S.E.L.F.I.E Camera: sketch, black and white, and “death.”  With all of these options, you can really give Instagram a run for its money.

Blizzard isn’t satisfied with one such modernization though, as evidenced by patch 6.1’s added Twitter functionality.  Now, any hero of Azeroth can post straight to Twitter via a simple chat command, /share.

Find the patch notes here.  At press time, patch 6.1 is still on the test realm only.

World Of Warcraft very recently celebrated its ten-year anniversary by sending the decade veterans a killer, limited edition statue.  The newest expansion, Warlords Of Draenor, dropped back in November.
