As you already know, THQ was dismantled and sold off to the highest bidder. However, in the transition, gamers wanted to know what the fate of their beloved series would be with all these new owners. Luckily, there was plenty of news on that front today and much of it was positive.

Ubisoft spoke quite a bit about how happy THQ Montreal was with their French owners and how they plan to allow THQ Montreal to operate as it was before the acquisition. They also mentioned that a new unannounced IP was in the works and still on schedule. This may be in reference to 1666 or some other game that we know nothing about. They also confirmed that South Park: The Stick of Truth is still on schedule and will release as planned.

Sega reaffirmed their earlier statements that they want to beef up their PC game offering and said that their purchase of Relic Entertainment will do just that.

Koch said that they will release new Metro and Saints Row games in the coming months and hope to keep those franchises strong.

Finally, Crytek, who was already working on Homefront 2,  plans to keep moving the project forward and they do not expect any delays due to the purchase.

It was good to hear that all of those great THQ properties will keep being worked on and released.
