Xbox720-PS42

As we continue into 2013, the rumor mill has been churning over the impending release of the next generation of consoles. The most recent report focuses on the next generation of Xbox consoles. Unfortunately, the news has not been promising.

According to Edge, the next generation of Xbox consoles will require a constant connection to the internet to play games.

The other piece of alleged information is that next-gen Xbox games will ship with a one-time activation code. This code will link the console to the game and the game will then cease to work on any other console.

Finally, Edge reports that the next Xbox will use Blu-ray discs, ship with a new version of Kinect, and hold an AMD eight-core CPU that runs at 1.6GHz and 8 gigabytes of DDR3 RAM.
