According to the Playstation 4 hardware documents, as posted on Engadget.com, the PS4 has an operating temperature of 35 degree Celsius while the Playstation 3 runs around 40 degree Celsius.
These stats come off the tail end of some concern that the Playstation 4 may have heating issues according to various user reports from this years 2013 E3, as well as speculation by European gaming sites. Fortunately, not only have these claims been proven false, according to the PS4 official documents, it in fact exceeds expectations when it comes to temperature/performance ratio.
So put away the extra fans, grab a cold drink and don’t fret about the hotter seasons next year.
