The Sony website is dropping the price of the 3G PlayStation Vita. The WiFi + 3G bundle is currently discounted $50 to $249.99, compared to its $299.99 list price.

If purchasing the handheld online is not your speed, some Sony stores have been rumored to be discounting the 3G model. The reported prices range from$199.99 to $249.99. Not all stores will be discounting the Vita by that amount, some may not discount at all so your mileage may vary. Check your local store for details.

If you’ve been looking to buy Sony’s latest handheld, now would be a great time to do so. Sony has mentioned that the unit will not see a price drop for a long time, so make sure you pick one up soon.
