For those that follow the site, you may notice that Plantronics has been stepping its gaming hardware offerings up a notch. The first step up was the Gamecom Commander headset, now comes the Rig. The Rig is a new line of headsets that try to appeal to all gamers, not just professional ones. The headset features a slim profile that folds flat saving space. It also includes two cables one for the boom mic and the other for an in-line remote and mic for smartphones. At the center of the setup is a wired mixer that lets you hook up your cellphone, gaming rig (computer or console via USB and Toslink) and the headset simultaneously. You can then switch between the two seamlessly and even mix audio together in the headset while playing.

Rig will hit retailers in the fall for $130. Look for it soon!
