Ouya

During GDC, OUYA developer relations head, Kellee Santiago, confirmed that you will no longer be required to submit a demo if you want to develop for the platform. Up until now, every game on the OUYA platform was able to be played for free before you hit a pay wall. When asked why the sudden change of heart, Santiago responded by saying that not every genre lends itself to having a playable demo and that the requirement was keeping developers away from the platform.

What do you think of the news? Does having a free demo available encourage you or defer you from buying a game?
