During Sony’s Tokyo Game Show press conference the long awaited Nioh was officially confirmed for February 9, 2017. To say Nioh has had a turbulent development cycle would be an understatement. Originally announced in 2004 Nioh fell into development hell. Rumors hinted several times that the game was still in development, but it wasn’t until TGS last year that Nioh was re-revealed. Since then Koei Tecmo released a public alpha and beta where players were able to test out the game and give feedback to the developers at Team Ninja.

Nioh seems to be a PlayStation 4 exclusive and has had a positive reaction from those who tried the early demos. Myself included, I can say that Nioh seems to be shaping up to be a fun experience that combines Dark Souls with fast paced sword play and a feudal Japan setting.
