Kojima Productions and Platinum Games has just announced that the Xbox 360 version of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance in Japan has been cancelled. A message on Kojima Pro’s website broke the news stating “various circumstances” for the cancellation. The site continued by apologizing to gamers as well as to partners who might be affected by the decision. Those who live basically everywhere but Japan do not have to worry since Konami confirmed that all other regions will see the Xbox 360 version. This move should not be a surprise since the Xbox has never really found an audience in an overwhelming Sony / Nintendo market.

Stay tuned for further developments.
