Epic Games design director, Cliff Bleszinski (“Cliffy B.”) has left the company that he has spent his last 20 years with.He is most commonly known as the creator of Gears of War, but he also played a large role in the Unreal franchise and Bulletstorm. Bleszinskihad been working on Epic’s new IP Fortnite, a cooperative zombie survival for PC and addition to Gears of War: Judgment.
Epic published a blogpost today featuring commentary from Epic’s founder and CEO, Tim Sweeney and of course a few words from Bleszinski himself.
It will be curious to see what impact his departure has on the next installment of Gears of War as well as where, if anywhere, Bleszinski will end up next.
