Koch Media CEO Klemens Kundratitz said he is considering films for all of Deep Silver’s game properties during an interview with VentureBeat. When asked about movie adaptations, Klemens said:
[gn_quote style="1"]“[Movies] not out of the question,” he said. “If a company can deliver that transmedia experience, we are probably one of the few that have the ambition and ability to deliver that. At the same time, I have to be honest, we have not been able to deliver that [transmedia experience] yet, but it’s one of my long-term strategic goals to do so.”[/gn_quote]
This would not be completely unexplored territory for Koch Media. After all, they sold the right to Dead Island to Lionsgate in 2011 and the film is still in development.
