While PAX East 2015 had games as far as the eye could see, hardware companies were right next to them showing off their latest wares. We got a chance to stop by the Kingston HyperX booth to see what new products were on the horizon and there is plenty to look forward to. In case you are unfamiliar with Kingston’s HyperX brand, we had an opportunity to review thier Cloud headset which you can check out here. For those that are familiar, you’ll be happy to know that there are several improvements to old product lines as well as all new products to keep an eye out for in the future.

The first product we took a look at was the new HyperX Cloud II headsets. As you saw above, we got a hands-on look at the original Cloud headset, so we were quite familiar with the headset line. However, the Cloud II features a number of improvements over the old headset including 7.1 virtual surround sound, a new, sleeker look, thicker head band padding and in-line controls. While there was no sound playing in the headset, just the visual changes alone make this a great improvement over the original model. Even if the new headset sounded the same as the old one, the Cloud II impressed us right out of the gate.

The next and product line we saw was the HyperX FURY Pro Gaming Mouse Pad. These mouse pads come in four sizes and two thicknesses including mouse pads big enough for the keyboard and mouse or something similar to your standard mouse pad. In addition, the mouse pad came in a fast, hard and thin texture or a thicker, softer feel. Either way, they provided a solid surface on which to game and is an often over looked accessory to any gaming setup.

These are two solid additions to an already impressive line of gaming products and it is great to see a great company continue to service gamers as a whole. The Cloud II headset looks great and should be a vast improvement over the Cloud headset just from looks alone. Meanwhile, the HyperX line is expanding into the mouse pad market giving gamers even more choices and reason to look to Kingston for your gaming needs. We definitely recommend you check out their website at http://www.kingston.com/us/hyperx  for more information, pictures and technical specifics on these products and more.
