According to Zynga’s blog, the gaming company will be closing its Baltimore, Austin and McKinney, Texas Studios while they consolidate their New York location. CFO David Ko mentioned that anyone in Baltimore that requested a transfer was granted it and the overall impact of the closer is minimal to the company. There were a few layoffs in the company resulting in a total downsizing of 1% of the total company or approximately 30 people. These changes were implemented “in an effort to leverage resources as we focus on creating franchises and driving profitability,” Ko continued. We wish the best for those that lost their jobs.
