by

zelda-reorchestrated-links-awakening-cover-artZelda Reorchestrated has been making sweet videogame remixes of an symphonic nature since 2002. That’s nearly 10 years of amazing music. However the end is nigh (or should I say, “You’ve met with a terrible fate, haven’t you?”) for the musical composers who will officially shut the site down on June 12th, 2013. At which point the group and remix project as a whole will be no more.

To quote from their final words: “No official attempts will be made for its [Zelda Reorchestrated] revival. Our legend will survive on the wind’s breath.”

Here is a sample of their music.

If you love Zelda music, definitely head to the site and download everything they have right now. You will not be disappointed. The June 12th date gives ample time to download everything they offer, but you might as well do it right now before you forget, eh. As that would be a true travesty!

Zelda Reorchestrated is a fan-driven musical arrangement project, and has covered every single game in the Zelda series, releasing a total of no-less than 20 albums for every game in the series and a number of additional side-project albums and individual remixes. Games they covered include: The Legend of Zelda (NES), Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (NES), A Link to the Past (SNES), Link’s Awakening (Game Boy), Ocarina of Time (N64), Majora’s Mask (N64), The Wind Waker (GameCube), The Minish Cap (GBA), Twilight Princess (GCN, Wii), Phantom Hourglass (DS), Spirit Tracks (DS), Skyward Sword (Wii), and even Zelda: Four Sword Adventures (GCN).
