While the initial reports of the Xbox One being delayed wasn’t true for the entire world, but it ended up being true for eight of the 21 European markets. Unfortunately, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland will have to wait until 2014 to get the Xbox One. While an exact date has not been given, Microsoft reps have said “as soon as possible”. The cause of the delay was blamed on meeting demand, localization efforts and marketing to those regions. However, all is not doom and gloom for residents of those countries. According to Microsoft, those that have been affected will get a free game to be determined later this year.
