Today, a new first-person, free-running, action, survival-horror title has been announced by Warner Brothers and Techland, the first AAA title of the E3 season. Dying Light was described as a cross between Mirror’s Edge and a traditional zombie game. The game features a day-night cycle that has an effect on the zombies themselves. During the day, they are the run-of-the-mill undead, but at night they get much more aggressive and powerful. However, the focus of the game is on free-running rather than combat. Sure there is a crafting system, like Dead Island, and you’ll have to hack-and-slash from time-to-time.

It is all a little general, but more details will go public at E3. If this interests you, check out Kotaku’s full hands-on.

Dying Light will be available in 2014 for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
