If you’ve grown tried of all those pesky ads clogging up your stream time on Twitch, they’ve got the solution for you. Twitch has announced their brand new subscription service, Twitch Turbo. It’ll cost $8.99 a month and it will let you turn off all the adds, give you an exclusive turbo badge, get access to custom emoticons, expanded chat colors, and priority customer support.
I can’t see this selling well currently, because there are already methods to bypass the ads. You’d almost be paying 9 dollars a month for the badge and custom emoticons, which in and of themselves just aren’t worth that kind of money. Hopefully it’ll get better over time because Twitch is a great service that, like all great services, could benefit from some extra revenue.
