Valve has just updated its design of the Steam Controller to add buttons. The new design was spotted at the Steam Dev Days conference and posted on Twitter. When asked about the change, Valve stated the move was done to allow the touchpad to be compatible with older games in the Steam library. However, the touchpads still remain an integral part of the design, so those who were hoping for a more traditional layout may have to look elsewhere.
