As you may remember, Sony sold their New York City headquarters building for $1.1 Billion dollars last month. Today, Sony announced they were selling their Osaki office building in Tokyo for ¥111.1 billion ($1.2 billion). The company states that this is part of their strategy to strengthen its corporate structure and return to profitability. Others view this sale as a sign of deeper problems at Sony.

Sony has announced that its offices will remain in Osaki for five years, similar to the deal with their New York City offices where the company agreed to stay as a tenant for three years.
