Admit it– the best part of playing RollerCoaster Tycoon on your old computer was making unsafe, architecturally suspect rides that ended in screams and explosions. David Braben’s studio Frontier Developments now presents ScreamRide, a game where you can do just that (and are encouraged to do so):

ScreamRide tasks players with building the craziest thrill rides possible in order to make for a better future, or something like that. The important bit is that your wildest amusement park fantasies can come true with this game. The more you scare your poor test riders, the better.
The demo for ScreamRide will be available tomorrow for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Dubbed, appropriately, a spiritual successor to RollerCoaster Tycoon, three gameplay modes are planned: Engineering, ScreamRider, and Demolition Expert.
Engineering mode lets players put together their ultimate roller coaster or thrill ride. ScreamRider allows you to take a ride on your creations and see just how horrifying the laws of physics actually are. Demolition Expert challenges players to use their rides to cause collateral damage to buildings and other pieces of the environment. I hope you’re insured.
ScreamRide launches on March 3rd in the United States and March 6th in Europe. Get a head start on your coaster-building skills by grabbing the demo.
