According to Kotaku, GameStop will start selling vouchers for Steam starting May 15. This stems from the company’s relative failure to push into the online sales market with it’s purchase of Impulse. GameStop purchased the digital distribution service in July 2011 and hasn’t competed well with Steam, nor has it seemingly made a dent in Steam’s sales numbers.

GameStop already sells Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network gift cards, however, unlike XBLA and PSN, Steam is a direct competitor with GameStop and Impulse. Nothing official has been confirmed, so take it as a rumor for now, but we will update you on the situation as soon as more comes information comes in. Keep it locked to New Gamer Nation.
