Resident-Evil-6-Hand-600x300

Today, Capcom released their 2013 fiscal year results and despite making a profit, Resident Evil 6 failed to live up to expectations. Capcom was quoted as saying Resident Evil 6 “sold at a brisk pace initially when it was launched, but sales subsequently plateaued.” The game ended up selling 4.9 million units, which to many other companies would be an overwhelming success. While this is not something completely unknown, Capcom’s attitude towards the title was unfortunate. It will be interesting to see how Resident Evil Revelations will do when it is released later this month.
