Sony has just announced that the open beta for PlayStation Now, Playstation’s game rental streaming service, will open for the PlayStation TV and PlayStation Vita on October 14th. This also happens to coincide with the release of the PlayStation TV on the same day.

All you need to do is download the software from the PSN and you are good to go. Sony recommends a 5 Mbps connection so make sure you have the proper bandwidth to take advantage of the service.
