In a recent blog post, Playstation announced that any Battlefield 4 playerswho buy the Playstation 3 version of DICE’s latest Battelfield title will be able to transfer their account stats over to the Playstation 4. Given that Battlefield 4 is being released on both Playstation 3 and Playstation 4, many Battlefield fans were concerned if their time spent playing the PS3 version would be in vain. Fortunately, Playstation has confirmed that anyone switching from the PS3 to PS4 version of Battlefield 4 will have all their kills, levels and unlocks carried over.

Any dedicated Battlefield fan who was timid about picking up the PS3 version of the upcoming title can breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that DICE and Sony are hard at work in making the transition from PS3 to PS4 as quick and painless as possible.

The Battlefield series is one of EA and DICE’s most successful series and Battlefield 4 will be the eighth installment of the wildly popular Battlefield series. EA announced the upcoming beta for the new title in May 2013, stating that anyone who pre-orders will have access to the exclusive beta when it becomes available. Battlefield 4 will be fully available on October 29, 2013 and can be purchased from DICEs official site here.
