Nintendo has just released its fiscal statement for 2013 and the news wasn’t good. Nintendo has posted a 46.4 billion yen ($457 million) loss for the year. The company blames the lack of Wii U sales for most of those losses. The Wii U sold just 2.72 million units over the last 12 months coming over 100,000 units shy of its revised estimates. Meanwhile, lifetime sales of the Wii U are currently at 6.17 million units, over 1 million units less than the PS4 which has been out for about 6 months.
