Today Nintendo held a press event for its Wii U console in New York. Nintendo confirmed that Wii U will arrive in the US on November 18th and will be available in either a basic or deluxe set.
The basic set will cost $299.99 and will include a Wii U console, GamePad, AC adaptor, HDMI cable, sensor bar and 8GB of memory. The deluxe edition will feature, 32GB of memory, a copy of NintendoLand, a GamePad charging cradle and access to Nintendo’s Deluxe Digital Promotion, which enables players to earn points for purchasing digital titles.
Nintendo also announced that Wii U will be coming to Japan slightly later than the US, on December 8th. The basic set will retail at ¥26,250 ($337) with a premium edition similar to the deluxe edition, also available.
