News: Ubisoft and New Regency Partner on Assassin’s Creed Film

by

Ubisoft has just announced that they will be working with New Regency to start the development of an Assassin’s Creed film. This film will be fast tracked and should hit screens within two years, maybe sooner. This collaboration was set up so that Ubisoft could maintain creative control, which can only mean good things for the film. Jean-Julien Baronnet, CEO of Ubisoft Motion Pictures stated that Ubisoft will be “maintaining our own creative and financial flexibility ensures that Assassin’s Creed will be a high-quality film that respects the lore and fans of the video game franchise”.

The partnership with New Regency comes just after Ubisoft Motion Pictures announced that will be involved in the Assassin’s Creed film project.
