OUYA, the Android-powered console that was announced this past summer, is set to have its development kits shipped out on December 28. The console was largely funded through Kickstarter, where about 63,000 people pledged more than $8.5 million, well over the project’s original stated goal of $950,000.

The console is set to ship in 2013, and there have been no alternations to this release date as yet. To view updates on OUYA, its hardware, and potential games, check out the OUYA Kickstarter page.
