Originally launching in 1988, Nintendo Power Magazine has been confirmed to be ending its run. Nintendo has chosen not to renew its licensing agreement with Future Publishing and it does not wish to sign another publis
her or produce the magazine itself. Nintendo Power senior editor Chris Hoffman confirmed this information by tweeting, he and his staff will “try to make the last issues memorable.” The staff was informed last week and have been trasitioning to other positions within the Future Publication brands. Nintendo Power was run in-house by Nintendo until the property was licensed to Future in 2007.
