Everybody’s favorite hedgehog (except mine…I used to have a hedgehog) will be getting new games as early as next year, according to Sissel Henno, Sega‘s European head of brand licensing.
Henno, talking to Toys ‘n’ Playthings magazine, said, speaking of Sonic’s future, “We will have several new digital titles launching as well as a new boxed game…” While no other details were revealed, it’s enough to whet any Sonic fan’s appetite.
Though the last few games featuring the lightning-quick rodent have been lackluster at best, we can all hope that, somewhere in these games, there’s one that recalls what made Sonic great in the first place. If not, we can always wait for the long-promised Sonic Fan Remix. That game still looks amazing.
