The first installment of story based DLC for Borderlands 2 is on its way. The DLC, titled “Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty,” will reportedly be released on October 16th, which was the original release date for the Mechromancer.
Gearbox Software CEO had previously hinted at future DLC when speaking about how when he would watch Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and saw the sand ships flying over the desert, that he wanted to do that. He described the new town in the DLC, Oasis, as being ”More Tatooine than an ocean.”
New features in the DLC include sand worms, sand skiffs, and a brand new form of currency called Seraph Crystals. For the who haven’t yet purchased the Borderlands 2 season pass, this DLC will cost you $9.99 (or the Microsoft Point equivalent).
