Released last week for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, Max Payne 3’s PC release date was scheduled for 29th May in the US and 1st June in Europe. However, Rockstar have announced today that Max Payne 3 will release worldwide on June 1st. The reasoning behind this being Rockstar stating their community has always favored a single worldwide release date and it’s something they have decided to work towards. However, due to production and logistical issues they were unable to bring the European date forward and therefore the US release had to be pushed back to match the European’s on June 1st. All seems a little odd, and begs the question that perhaps Rockstar needed the extra few days to finish polishing and bug fixing the game. Either way we’ll find out  in just over a week how the PC version matches up, here’s hoping to an end to the string of Rockstar’s shoddy console to PC ports.
