News: Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut Releasing June 26th

Posted by

Bioware has just confirmed that an extended ending to the critically acclaimed sci-fi RPG Mass Effect 3 will be coming out June 26th for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. A free DLC titled Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut, it will add more cut scenes and content to the games conclusion. According to a FAQ on Bioware’s website “the Extended Cut expands on the endings of Mass Effect 3 through additional scenes and epilogue sequences. It provides more of the answers and closure that players have been asking for. It gives a sense of what the future holds as a result of the decisions made throughout the series. And it shows greater detail in the successes or failures based on how players achieved their endings.”

The original ending to Mass Effect 3 sparked a lot of outrage and controversy from fans of the series. They believed that the games conclusion did not adequately reflect player choices made over the course of the trilogy. Let’s hope that this new DLC quells some of that frustration.  Be sure to stay tuned to NGN for all the latest in gaming news.
