For all you horror shooting fans out there get excited.  Bethesda Softworks has just announced that the Doom 3 BFG Edition will be released on October 16, 2012 in North America and October 19 in Europe.  This re-release of the over-the-top horror shooting action will come with the original Doom 3 game, the Resurrection of Evil expansion pack, and seven additional never before seen levels known as ‘The Lost Mission.’  Furthermore this already amazing package will come with full versions of both Doom and Doom 2, making it the definitive collection in the first person horror shooting category.

Remastered for the Xbox 360 and PS3, this gives a new audience a chance to play one of the most  terrifying and visually eye pleasing games in recent memory.  The title will also have it’s own Xbox 360 achievements and PS3 trophies, and has been optimized for 3D play.  With improved graphics and sound, all the Doom titles one could imagine, and a price tag of 39.99 for console versions and 29.99 for PC, this is one gaming package you won’t want to miss.  Be sure to check it out later this year and stay tuned to NGN for all the latest in gaming news.
