Both Mirror's Edge and Battlefield: Bad Company franchises have been put on hold since 2008 and 2010, but that doesn't mean they have been abandoned. Just recently, DICE (Digital Illusions Creative Development) executive producer Patrick Bach has confirmed they have yet to part ways with both series.
Speaking to IGN, here's what Bach had to say regarding the topic: “We never kill something that is great. Mirror's Edge is a game that we of course all love. It was a great game. It had some flaws, of course, like all games. But in general, it's an IP that we lo
ve and of course we haven't killed it, because it's too good to kill.”
As for Battlefield: Bad Company, here is what Bach had to say when discussing a possible sequel for Battlefield: Bad Company 2: “The Bad Company IP is still something we love,” Bach continued. “And it’s very dear to me because I worked on both titles. We have no information with where we are to a sequel to Bad Company.”
Rumors flew about back in May about a possible Mirror's Edge 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 3. Publisher Electronic Arts (EA) refuses to comment on the topic.
Tell us what you think of these possible sequels in the comments below. They both seem very possible to take place in the near future, so I would keep a close eye on DICE activity concerning the topic.
