This trailer is likely to create a similar uproar to that of the original DMC trailer that revealed Dante's new look for the first time. Vergil is a part of Ninja Theory's new Devil May Cry and with that comes a new face. It shouldn't be that surprising to see that Vergil is looking quite different in this new game, he is Dante's twin after all, so he was always going to look similar to the new Dante.
No doubt certain people wi
ll have a problem with Vergil's new hair style, his voice or some other aesthetic alteration, but players need to understand, this is a fresh interpretation of a past franchise; it is going to be different. Capcom trusted that their beloved characters would be in good hands with Ninja Theory. After all, Devil May Cry has always been respected for its slick and stylish gameplay, which isn't something you can judge by merely watching a trailer.
Devil May Cry will be released on the 15th of January 2013 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 (PC version will arrive later).
