The direct sequel to 2011′s survival-horror title Dead Island, Dead Island Riptide, will launch on April 23rd, 2013. The game will be released for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
The story takes place directly after the conclusion of the first game. The four playable characters from the original will be making a return, and those who beat the first game can load their saved game character. In addition to the characters that fans are already familiar with, Riptide will also be bringing one all new playable character to the table.
There will also be a special edition of the game, available at launch, that will include goodies like new weapon modifications and character skins. So prepare to go for the brain with anything you can grab, because it could be a good one.
